The 3.5 miles of beach at Amelia Island Plantation remains untouched by oil and are open for business.

In the unlikely event that the beach of Amelia Island is officially closed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) as a result of the Deep Horizon oil spill, Amelia Island Plantation will provide a full refund on deposits plus 20% off prevailing daily rate to use on a future stay within one year.* If a guest is staying on property at the time the beach is closed by the DEP as a result of the Deep Horizon oil spill, Amelia Island Plantation will credit the guest for the accommodation for the day(s) the beach is out of service.
