Nature Programs

Amelia Island Plantation offers unique nature programs for people of all ages and levels of experience.

In addition to the experienced on-staff Naturalists, The Nature Center is stocked with retail merchandise and some of the local “critters” that call Amelia Island home. The facility also includes a large classroom fully equipped for children’s programs and interpretive presentations.

Whether you are walking, biking or kayaking, the natural beauty of Amelia Island is at your doorstep.

On-Property Tours*
* • Program usually last one to two hours
    • Tours- $250 (1-10 persons) and $15 for each additional person

   • 48-hour guarantee participation and cancellation notice is needed prior to activity. Cancellations within this timeframe will be billed as 100% participation.   If cancellations occur due to weather, plans will be pursued to reschedule the  program or an alternative program will be offered.

Segway Safari Tours:
1-8 people:      $ 700
9-16 people:    $1400

A Segway Safari is an hour and a half to two hour tour with four amazing tour routes for your group to choose from.

The Safari’s take you through all of the natural surroundings at Amelia Island Plantation. These experiences are created with adults in mind, offering an exciting experience in the journey and the destinations! Our coached orientation is followed by a guided tour that travels through our mid level bike paths.

Sea Side Safari:
Travel around 3 miles of our beautiful trails with many twists and turns and spectacular views on the ocean side of the resort.

Marsh Side Safari:
Travel around 4 miles of trails showcasing the beauty of our golf courses and the marsh.

Back to Nature Safari:
Travel around 4 miles of trails with your coach and one of our naturalists. You will experience the natural beauty of destinations like Drummond Point Park, Egret airport, or Willow Conservancy.

Off-Property:
Price varies with program

Each program lasts about 3 hours.

Cumberland Island
Several options are available to discuss with your Conference Services Manager
Naturalist Kayak
$425 (1-5 people) and $75 each additional for 2 hours. Maximum participation is 15 people per session (6 double and 9 single). We have the capacity to do several kayak trips on the same day.
Okefenokee Swamp
$500 (1-5 people) and $100 for each additional person. Allow at least 5 hours for this tour. Maximum participation is 20 people per session. Minimum of 5 participants
