Our Director of the Spa, Bill Di Stanisloa, heads up the Amelia Green Team and is a driving force behind all green initiatives. He holds the Spa suppliers to high standards for providing “clean and green” products for our guests. All product companies must meet set green standards and must have a global commitment to clean and green practices.

The Spa supports the efforts of the American Forests Global Re-leaf program by making a staff discount card available to employees. The proceeds from the purchase of this card go towards the planting of trees by American Forests.

Additional initiatives:

• Cleaning at the Spa & Shops uses environmentally safe products
• Energy efficient bulbs are used for all lighting
• Glass, plastic, aluminum, newspaper and printer cartridges are recycled
• The Green Team is evaluating the installation of solar hot water heaters
• Locally grown organic ingredients are used in dishes and foods available at Marché Burette based on accessibility and quality
• Paper bags, made from 100% recycled paper, are used for merchandise purchases
