PROJECT PLANET

Project Planet is a voluntary linen and towel re-use “rather than replace” program for resort guests. Guests may participate in the conservation program by re-using their towels and linens to save water. Not only does participation in this program help the environment by decreasing consumption of water and energy, but it also reduces the amount of detergent and refuse water released into the waste stream. According to Project Planet, based on the size of the Amelia Inn, guests can contribute to saving about 180,000 gallons of water and preventing 1,200 gallons of detergent from entering the waste stream each year. With one easy action, guests can make their own positive impact on the environment.
