Project Planet:

Just as we at Amelia Island Plantation are committed to staying in tune with nature, we are also dedicated
to the environment and conservation. We promote Project Planet, a voluntary bed linen and towel re-use
program. All guests have the option to take part in Project Planet. Guests can request daily towel and
linen changes, or they can participate in the conservation program by re-using their towels and linens to
save water. Not only does participation in this program help the environment by decreasing consumption
of water and energy, it also reduces the amount of detergent refuse water released into the waste stream.
According to Project Planet, based on the size of the Amelia Inn alone, you could contribute to saving
about 180,000 gallons of water and preventing 1,200 gallons of detergent from entering the waste stream
each year. So, by just one small action, you can make a significant impact to save the environment.
